Simple Stave Assembly

George Vondriska takes you step-by-step through the glue up process of a stave assembly that will eventually be used for the outside of a wine bottle cooler. When constructing a stave you will find it is easier to break the process into smaller steps, using less pieces. Follow George as he uses masking tape and Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue to make this sometimes difficult glue up, easy.

   What about putting the base in after the glue up dries?

     Hi Barry. Yes, you could take that approach for this project. Either way, I suggest drying fitting the bottom before gluing the two halves together, as it will be easier to troubleshoot problems and establish a good fit for the bottom that way.
