Drawer Making: Session 5: Class Summary
George VondriskaDescription
George wraps up this Class with a reminder to practice the techniques you learned in this class to be better prepared for any future project that includes drawers. With a little practice, and attention to detail, you’ll be making drawers for all of your projects that can withstand use and abuse, and will stand up through the test of time.
One of the things I really want you to take away from this class is the fact that you've got to practice these skills before you need them for a project. I'm going to say this over and over and over again with my woodworking instruction, it's really important that you take some scrap wood, run it out to your shop, work with the dovetail jig, work with the dado head in the table saw, the slot cutter in the router table, the drawer lock bit in the router table, to make sure that when the pressure's on for a project, you've already got a good handle on these skills. It's really, really important to take that step. A lot of stuff was covered here. Make sure that you take advantage of it by incorporating these skills a little bit at a time into each of the projects you do.
And you're going to find that the drawers that you're making and adding to your woodworking projects just keep getting better and better. Hope you enjoyed it and see you in the next class.
