Char Miller-King is a professional woodworking teacher based in Atlanta and works under the handle The Wooden Maven. Her presence has been seen nationwide as a content creator for brands such as Rockler, Home. Depot, and Power Pro. You may have also seen her appearances on Discovery Plus and Magnolia networks, and in numerous commercials and magazines. Char’s been highlighted by the likes of PBS “Making It,” Popular Woodworking and Highland Woodworking. She’s spoken at conferences such as WorkbenchCon and The Furniture Society Connects conference, and is teaching at the Penland School of Craft this summer.

If one learned to turn with full sized cutters, how do you master carbide?
You mention that you use or like pocket screws. There is conversation online that pocket screws are not as strong as {whatever}. Can you discuss when to use or not use pocket screws? What about screws and glue?
Yes dust masks are a good idea and dust collection, but are there any woods or materials, example melamine, that i should more worried about with dust while cutting, sanding, cleanup? of the dust?
Minwax Gloss Clear Polyurathane floor finish is what I like to use. Durable and can be buffed.
