I have used a common paste wax on my cast iron tops for over 40 years. It works great, lasts well and is really cheap and simple to use. The can which I am now using will certainly out last me. I have never been a big fan of aerosol can products.
How do you remove any residual silicon?
Would have been nice to see the lubricant instead of adds to upgrade.
