Char Miller-King

Char Miller-King has been in the woodworking industry for nearly two decades, and in 2015, she left her job in corporate America to become a full-time maker. Char teaches woodshop classes to those who are new to power tools, and on the weekend you can catch her teaching kids as young as seven to make simple projects using the miter saw and drill press. She can also be found volunteering with the Girls Makers Club and serving on the Board of Directors at Decatur Makers. To bring more female woodworkers to the forefront, Char writes for the Women in Woodworking news column for Highland Woodworking in Atlanta, Georgia. Her professional collaborations include brands such Rockler, Popular Mechanics, Glowforge, and various woodworking magazines, as well as entertainment networks such as PBS, CNN, and Discovery+.

Charlie Kocourek
