I am looking to refinish the my daughter’s dining table. There are several places where small slivers of finish (about 1/8 inch wide) have come off, leaving raw wood showing. The table top is “distressed”, so it cannot be sanded smooth. Do not know what top coat finish was used on the table top. 1. When you are flatting a slab or cutting board, are the rails the router jig rides on level.
I will be making a large bookcase 84"H X 42"W. Material will be 4/4 Ash boards 12" wide for the sides/top/bottom/shelves. Should I cut and reglue the boards to minimize warping or can I use them as is?
