Here’s a project you’ll get “entwined” in. It’s a stool with a woven rope seat. It’s fun and easy to make, and very comfortable to sit on. The trickiest part is the pattern for the rope seat, but George Vondriska will take you through that step-by-step process, so don’t get tied up over it.

If you’re looking for a project to do with kids, this is a great one. It provides an opportunity to do some simple woodworking, and also learn knots like the clove hitch and square knot.

A full cut list for the project is included.

The product resources list for this project isn't connecting (xml error). Can you re-link the list, please?

Can I make this taller to use as a bar stool?

So George, are you or your son an Eagle Scout?

Can you use a more weatherproof rope such as nylon or perhaps cotton clothesline cord. It might make the seat last longer if left outside….
