Hi Lillia. While we cover some safety topics on WWGOA.com, you are much better off getting the materials from your instructor, as safety guidelines can be different from person to person. This will give you the best chance to be successful on your test and in your program.
Thanks

Can someone help?

Thanks for posting this. I always wear gloves (splinters, and I have small hands so gloves give me more grip strength.) I will remember to remove them while using the saw.

Well said Walter, I bought one in March, a bit pricey compared to others, but you can’t put a price on lost fingers or a hand!

I would never use a saw that did not have the technology in the SawStop

I did that once for the first time and only time about a year ago. I’ll be 72 this summer 2018, and with that gloved experience I was lucky as I only cut the very tip of my left index finger. I was told that in Home Depot, if you caught using the panel saw or table saw, the company will tell you your employment has just ended, according to my neighbor who works at the Depot. So, there must be something to this “Glove wearing thing!”

Thanks,
Ron
