Printing the web page is not the issue. It would be nice to have a print format that gives us just the article and excludes the ads.

On my table, I would have to move the fence back away from the ring around the bit in order to raise and replace the router bit above the table. (There is no option to remove the router and replace the bit from underneath). So the V bit trick won’t work. Can you suggest another way to position the fence?

I think the best way to secure the bottom of the drawer in this situation would be to cut the bottom to the outside width on the back of drawer and they cut the drawer back to the top of your groove so you can slide it into the groove from the back for the drawer bottom.

This would then allow you to glue and nail the drawer bottom to the bottom side of the drawer back. You could also use another joint on the back of the drawer so you could cut it to length and then secure tightly inside the groove

If the joints slide down, the bottom won’t go in? I need the bottom to hold tightly, so it needs to be a dado groove, not just a square rabbet notch…

The sliding dovetail part makes total sense, thank you SO much for an excellent tutorial :)

Thank you for the response! Good point about the actual thickness of wood. I just cut some 1/2″ slots in 2×4’s, and wondered why the slots were not centered. Turns out the 2/x4’s were less than 1.5″ thick….
