Hello Brenda,

Thank you for contacting us.

I would try to get some medium viscosity CA glue behind the panel and use a 23 gauge pin nailer to tack the panel in place while the glue sets up.

Sincerely,

Sarah

Unfortunately the glue is not holding and the ends are lifting. I can not remove the panels to re-glue. Nor can I figure out how to get glue where needed. What kind of glue to use that will not lift? Any suggestions?

Hello. It’s hard to say for sure, but if you are brad nailing and gluing it to a frame that is beefy enough, you should be ok. I think that the glue in this scenario is very important. Brads don’t have much holding power, but glue does. A couple screws would increase your confidence as well.
Thanks

I’m generally using the birch because I don’t like the way the plywood absorbs paint unless sanded quite a lot. Recently I decided to use up the plywood, I sanded it smooth and use triple thick polyurethane which has made is usable. I have a piece that is slightly warped. I have not polyurethane’d it yet. I put heavy items on it and it seems a bit better but not perfect. The bend is not huge. My question is, will brad nailing and gluing a frame keep it straight or will it overpower the frame and warp anyway over time? Thanks!

Hello and thanks for checking in with us. This type of construction project is outside of our normal focus which is more aligned to fine woodworking such as furniture, cabinetmaking, turning, etc. I would suggest checking with a carpenter for this information.
Thanks

It is 8 feet high and 10 feet long with a upright 2×4 in the centre. What addition 2x4s do I. Red to add to prevent the frame from warping?
Thanks

Put mayonnaise on the water stain. Cover with plastic wrap and leave for up to 24 hours. I left a wet bathing suit on my mothers dresser as a kid and this trick worked great and kept me out of trouble.😊.

Hi Betsy. You can ask the builder about it, but some amount of warping in your framing material is normal and you probably don’t need to worry about it. Wood will typically stop warping after it is completely dry, and once the drywall is attached you will probably never have any problems with it.
Thanks

I am lucky enough to be moving into a new townhouse, and I am watching the build as it progresses. I noticed that some vertical boards in the structure of the closet are warped. Will they continue to warp more? Is this a problem that should be changed? Will it become a problem later? Thanks!
