Hello Alex!

You can print off the PDFs that show how to create this item but we don’t have any 3D models of this item.

Thank you!

Hi Peg,

Glad that you’re planning to build a grill caddy. Great time of the year for this project. The draw front sits flush with the end panel, so it slides in underneath the panel. As far as the biscuit slots in the end panels, I believe that there is some inconsistency in the drawings. My intention was to use biscuits to join the bottom and false bottom to the end panels using biscuits, but I ended up not doing so. I now notice that I never updated the drawings to indicate this. The final construction of the caddy was:
– End panel “D” the sides of this panel are joined to the side rails using copper pins and glue. – End panel “C” has a biscuit slot in each of its sides to join to the lower rail. Copper pins attach it to the upper rail. A copper pin is also added to the top of the upper rail, just for consistency because end panel “D” is pinned.

Best of luck with this build.

Cheers,
Paul

Hi Peg,

The pins should be centered on the boards that you are using, so the placement will depend on the thickness. In this project I used 3/4″ material, so the pins were placed 3/8″ from the ends of the slats. Height placement on the lower slat is 1/2″ from the edge of the board. Pins are centered height-wise on the upper slats.

Good luck with this project.

This would be a good place to use up some of my smaller scrap and the red cedar heartwood boards are a beautiful option.
