Like the books it’s designed to protect and display, a well-made bookcase is a classic in its own right. At home in almost any room of the house, few pieces of furniture embody such a blend of form and function. Our bookcase plans will guide you through the build process quickly giving you the storage space you’ve been looking for.
This do-it-yourself version is no exception: as versatile as it is handsome, it will accommodate any reader’s prized collection in style. A good project for woodworkers of all skill levels, the bookcase measures 60 inches tall by 34 inches wide by 14 inches deep if you follow our bookcase plans.
I downloaded the bookcase 907M plan and as I was reviewing shelf pin hole pattern I need a little clarification – the holes start at 1 1/2″ from the front of side and holes are drilled 1 1/4″ spacing. What is the 2 1/4″ measurement? Thank you.
Hello David,
Thank you for contacting us.
This is my “good set”: https://amzn.to/2KRI4Uh
I’m sure that you can find a higher end set that will hold their edge a bit longer, but the Marples serve me very well.
If you have any additional questions, please email or call Customer Service.

If one is on a Mac with Safari, then upon clicking on the link, you will get an “access token is expired message. The way around that is to not click, but rather right click and select “download linked file as”. That may be why some have difficulty in obtaining the plans.

I’m in.
great project
Looks good.
Nobody answered the question about why front and back shelf pin holes are spaced differently. I assume this is a typo error???
Apologies; this is a typo. Spacing should be the same for all shelf pins. I usually use 1-1/2″ spacing, but you can use whatever you’d like.
Thanks, Paul
I was looking at the plans and it has nothing regarding installing M is that self adhesive veneer or what all other instructions are good

Why are the front shelf pin holes spaced at 1 1/2″ and the back shelf pin holes spaced at 1 1/4″?
The 1 1/2″ dimension is the spacing from the front and back edges of the side pieces to the hole centerlines, not the vertical hole spacing which is 1 1/4″
Check that. Front edges only. Back edge spacing is 2 1/4″ to allow for the back panel.
I was thinking the same thing and was going to ask the same question and when you look at the plan that’s not how it shows it. It should be noted on the plan. When I downloaded it I loaded it into CAD and it picked it up right away as being a mistake and it changed it for me.

I tried downloading this bookcase plan but encountered a couple of issues. First it wants to save it as an XML file. Second when I click save I get the error “Failed – Server Problem”. Any suggestions? Thanks.
