Woodworkers who know hand tools know the name Sweetheart when it comes to chisels. Stanley has introduced, or re-introduced, the Sweetheart line. The new chisels are based on the 750 design, and made from high carbon steel. According to Stanley the chisels will sharpen easily and hold an edge for a very long time. The beveled edges are quite narrow, making it easy to get into tight corners. The hornbeam handle has a wide butt end to help you accurately and squarely hit the chisel.
The Sweethearts are available in 1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1″ and 1-1/4″. Expect to pay about $30 per chisel, with the exception of the two largest chisels with will be around $40 each. A full 8-piece set will go for about $199.
