“I have recently had pulmonary issues, making dust my arch enemy. Is there a shop coat that is made of a material like Tyvek that would resist dust adhering to it, as well as being light weight and washable?”

The closest thing I’ve seen to what you’re describing is a Shop Coat sold by Duluth Trading Company, It’s not made of Tyvek, but it’s a complete coat, rather than just an apron. I’ve used one and liked it, although it’s warm in the summer. It’s washable, but some dust will cling to it as you’re working.

Had a shop coat from Duluth for years however they don’t make them anymore cant seem to find one anywhere now
I’m a woodshop teacher and I’m looking for a shop coat. Can you recommend a source.
Hi Mike. You might look at turning smocks which are available from woodworking specialty stores such as Rockler and Woodcraft. Be careful to not get something with long sleeves that could get caught in a power tool.
Thanks
