Now, this is cool. A router that runs cordless or corded, giving you the best of both worlds. The new Multivolt Plunge Router from Metabo runs on a 36-volt battery or standard AC power.
The Metabo Router is a 2 peak horsepower brushless router with variable speeds of 11,000 to 25,000 rpm. It includes 1/4″ and 1/2″ collets, and the plunge stroke is 1-31/32”. Additional features include a fence and onboard LED light, soft start, and unlike many routers, a brake that stops the bit when the router is turned off.
If you’re near an outlet, you can use the AC adaptor (not included) which simply slides into the same slot the battery lives in.
