Today in the workshop, George Vondriska discusses the benefit of wiping down a piece of tropical wood with alcohol before applying glue. Tropical woods like rosewood have naturally occurring oils that can cause joints to loosen over time, by using this glue tip to clean the surface of the wood with denatured alcohol just before he glues.
