Why is my DeWalt planer cutting more off the outer sides of material than in middle? It is humped when passed through the knives.

That's a pretty strange and unusual scenario.

Is the planer brand new and doing this right out of the box? Or has the planer just started doing this after some period of working correctly?

Have you changed the knives? If so, check them to make sure there isn't any dust under the ends of knives that's making the ends higher than the middle. Dust present on just one knife would be enough to make this happen.

When you're feeding material into the planer make sure the bed is clean of chips so you're setting your wood down on the steel table, not on a pile of shavings.

Let me know about answers to the above questions, and we can go from there.
