   My suggestion on joiner knives is professional sharpening. It's very important that the knives are each sharpened the same to keep the head balanced, and that the edge is kept perfectly straight. Check in your area for a sharpening service, or call cabinet shops and ask who they use.

   This really is a task that it's best to not tackle yourself.
