The metalic portion of the SawStop table top on the table saw video looks as black as the laminate extension. Is it really that black or do you spray something on it? If so, why. Steven P.

There's nothing special about the main table on my SawStop saw. It's just a cast iron table. It must be a function of the lighting and video work that makes it look black.

I've been working with my saw for a couple of months and couldn't get everything perfect. I watched the video yesterday afternoon and last night I adjusted the saw. I'm within .001 for everything now. The instructions in the manual for adjusting the fence were horrible. I love the videos. I've received four of them now and think they are excellent. thanks,
