Drill holes for the T-nuts, then use adjustable feet... .

Not trying to be funny, but you seemed to have answered your own question. You can get T-nuts in standard threadings that will work with several different types of adjustable feet at just about every Home Depot and/or Lowe's. .

I would try to use a guide block or a hand drill with a leveling bubble on the butt to drill the legs; shouldn't be much of an issue as the T-nuts should only require a hole 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep.

    Hope this helps...!
