Sadly this lawsuit is a further example of people not being willing to assume responsibility for their own actions and convincing themselves that at all costs someone else should pay for their individual shortcomings.
This virus of litigious behaviour got established in the USA but has spread worldwide like wildfire.

I agree,
but the question is, What happens next?
Should the commercial shops by Saw Stop tech. from now on and/or change their present equipment now that a basis for liability exist?
What about the present manufacturers are they now libel for continuing to sell their equipment without the tech change? I see Ryobi table saws still on the market even though they were libel for signing an agreement with Saw Stop and not using it.# Posted 7 months ago -
Not sure what will happen next, but it will be interesting to watch.

George, this is the way our country is heading; EVERYBODY IS A VICTIM AND NOBODY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.
I think any self respecting lawyer would not have taken that case but when you have too many lawyers, you have to create a climate to earn income.
Turn on the TV and the barking lawyers are encouraging everyone to sue for the most frivolous things. If a kid fails a subject, it the teacher fault because he has ADHD or is deprived or has low self esteem, etc. It is never because he did not study.
The lawyers are the only winners when people sue. Too many frivolous lawsuits and until we reject the VICTIM syndrome, we will continue as a nation to feel sorry for ourselves. What are we teaching our children-the leaders of tomorrow? frank
