I recently lost the belt on my planer. I was cleaning out all the crap under the side covers, and then put every thing back together. I must have put one side on wrong because I pinched the belt cover and the belt got hot and broke. How do I change the belt?

It will depend on the model. I would call Delta on this. I did this on my Delta planer a long time ago, and it was not hard, but I don't remember it well enough to guide you. At the time, I talked to Delta about it and they explained the process which was not hard after I had their direction.

If you don't have one, you can get an Delta tools owner's manual at

Just search by the model number of your planer. The manual might provide an exploded view of the tool, which will help you see how to do a belt change. The service site will also help you order a new belt.
