I have used InLace "The Liquid Inlay" produce once, and was not pleased with the result. I may have mixed it too thin. I would like to fill a quarter size void and a smile on the inside and outside of my 14" diameter bowl. My questions:

    1. A hint on applying without encroaching on the surrounding area

    2. Sanding level to the surrounding area without dulling the finish of the Inlace

    3. Proper finish product to use without dulling the Inlace

    Thank you for your input.

I have not used the "Liquid Inlay" however I have used a great deal of the InLace to fill cracks. I find that if you tape off the area with blue painters tape it will minimize but not eliminate the glue mess. I have used both epoxy with a filler and CA and have had good results with both. The trick to using CA is to use the thin set first and pack the InLace into the crack, then go over it with the thick set. You will have to sand to 400+ grit and I think you will be happy with the results.

I have never tried to fill a hole greater than 1/4". Both methods work well on that size.

    Good luck.
