Veritas Set Up Set Video Product Review

You know I love to transfer measurements, instead of taking measurements.  I use gauge blocks all the time.  This set from Veritas includes a 1/16” set up bar, and a 1-2-3 block.  Very cool.  For more information on Lee Valley and Veritas tools visit www.leevalley.com.

I have used setup Blocks and gauges for machine shop use in the past. These are not quite as demanding, but I like them.

I found this to be interesting and believe they woulkd be more prcise than a tape measure.

maybe my computer - but the video with the stopping and starting would take three times as long to watch. There must be a better way for you to present these.

useful video. I have used the small brass setup block and have enjoyed thier ease of use. Combining with a 1" x 2" x 3" block should be even better. I like the ideas protrayed in how to use them.

Great information. I often struggle to get my measurements exact with my tape measure. When I want a square strip of wood, I often put the board on edge between the blade and the fence on my table saw to set the width of my rip to the thickness of the wood.
