Shop Made Deep Reach Clamp

Shop Made Deep Reach ClampThis is a shop made deep reach clamp. It's just 3 pieces of wood bolted together for strength.  At the jaw end is a 1/2" bolt, with a nut and washer. A handle is welded to the bolt head. To tighten, just hold the handle, and tighten the nut with a wrench.  If you don't have a welder to weld on a handle, you could put a double nut on the handle end and use 2 wrenches.

The bolt just goes through a thru hole in the upper arm, with a washer and nut.

An alternative would be a threaded insert or T-nut for the clamping bolt to go through.

Looks good! Fills a niche I'll make one, and if it works as advertised, I'll make some more.
