Powermatic 8" Jointer

The new Powermatic 60HH, 8" Jointer has been equipped with a helical cutterhead, along with an array of user-friendly functions. Helical cutterheads with knife inserts provide smoother, quieter cutting and a finer finish than conventional models. The cutterhead incorporates 54, four-sided knife inserts. It rotates at 7000 rpm and cuts up to 1/2" deep.

The basic model (#1610084K) is driven by a 2 HP, TEFC (totally enclosed, fan cooled), single phase, 230-volt motor to handle the most demanding jobs. Another model (#1610087K), equipped with a 3 HP, three-phase, 230/460-volt motor, also is available. The 8" jointer with helical cutterhead offers big capacity and performance. Plenty of working surface is provided by its 73" long bed, including fully adjustable infeed and outfeed tables set on dovetailed ways. A fine/quick adjustment lever on the infeed table provides convenient set-ups for precision cuts. An extra-long 38" L x 4-3/4" H fence is equipped with a worm-gear tilting system, smoothly operated by a handwheel to facilitate bevel cuts. A non-mar insert in the fence protects the table from scratches during adjustments.
