General International Dust Collector

Woodworking, without question, creates a lot of dust.  General International’s new portable dust collector, $1,260, may provide an answer for your dust collection needs.

According to General the new 10-800CF M1 two-stage collector pulls 611 cfm of air.  It’s on wheels, allowing you to easily move it, as needed.  The 10-800CF is also plug and play.  The 1.5 hp (12 amp) motor runs on 110 volts, so no need to wire for 220 volts. 

General has provided a couple different methods of running the dust collector.  It can be turned on and off using a remote control, which is handy, or you can set the built-in timer for 1-15 hours (in one hour increments).   Dust and chips enter the collector through one 5” inlet, or two 4” inlets. Once your chips and dust are in the machine, large chips fall into the 30-gallon chip drum and dust heads for the canister and bag.  The canister is equipped with a crank handle/shaker that allows you to knock fine dust off the inside of the canister and into the bag below.  The canister provides 1-micron filtration.
