Meet George Vondriska, master woodworker and WoodWorkers Guild of America's managing editor at the Stan Houston Equipment Show in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Friday, February 25 and Saturday, February 26.

George will be demonstrating the following:

Make A Night Stand

Learn how to build an elegant Shaker-style night stand.  Features include tapered legs, a bread board top, biscuit and Domino joinery.  George will work with 100 year old reclaimed Ponderosa Pine and talk about advantages and disadvantages of reclaimed and salvaged wood.

Make An Inset Drawer (this drawer will fit the night stand)

Getting an inset drawer just right can be tricky.  If the surrounding gaps are too big, the drawer looks bad.  Too small, and the drawer won’t operate.  George will provide you with tips and tricks for making perfect inset drawers for your projects, including showing you how to cut the drawer front from the same piece you’re making the rail out of.  A very neat trick.  Drawer joinery will include half-blind dovetails, plus dadoes and rabbets cut on the tablesaw.
